Choosing a Survey or Valuation
We would always advise that you instruct the most comprehensive survey your budget can afford.
Buying a home is full of potential pitfalls and therefore, it is better to assemble as much information about your intended purchase before you are committed.
It is important to put the cost of the survey fee into perspective. Compare the survey fee that our fee calculator generates and with your annual house and contents insurance, your motor insurance or more appropriately the cost of some major repair.
Information obtained from the survey could also enable you to negotiate a price reduction from the seller. Any price reduction obtained from items of disrepair found in the survey report could more than reimburse your survey fee.
