Dampness & Rot in Mid Walls
This is probably one of the most common repair items that occur in property maintenance.
Dampness has three main sources:
- Rising Damp
- Penetrating Damp
- Condensation
Mid Walls:
- Rainwater Fittings
- Poor mortar pointing
- Poor/Weathered stone/brickwork
- Wall less than 220mm thick
- Cracking
- Exposed to prevailing wind
- Cavity Wall bridging
- Condensation
